Festival Education Programme 2008 – 2010
Over the next two years we will be developing Warwick Words Education Programme which has been generously supported by Arts Council England, Awards for All and Warwickshire County Council. The programme will involve new commissions which will be premiered at the Festivals in 2009 and 2010. The programme will include Creative Writing Projects with pre-school, primary and secondary schools and youth groups. There will be the continuation of Warwick Words Writer’s Group and the development of a rural creative writing project called Rambling Words together with Poetry Cafes and surgeries.
We will be working with professional poets, writers, storytellers and illustrators from across the country to deliver the programme.
This is a very exciting development for the Festival and one which will invite the Festival’s local community to get involved in creative writing.
So…watch out as Warwick Words may be rambling towards you very soon.
